Ankit Choudhary is an AI architect working on systems that have to survive contact with users, regulation, and production - shaped by an unusually varied path through economics, political campaigns, and teaching before AI.

He currently leads the AI R&D Lab as Senior AI Architect at Indexnine Technologies, alongside his work as Co-Founder and CTO of Order.law, an AI-native legal technology company. He has also worked across natural language processing, data, and analytics roles at organizations including Simplifai Cognitive Services, Bajaj Finserv, and Avance Consulting.

Ankit earned a dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, graduating in 2015. He began a PhD in Economics at the University of Washington, Seattle, leaving after two quarters to work in political data analysis and campaign strategy with IPAC, the Indian Political Action Committee, across Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh. After that, he taught IIT-JEE preparatory classes for about a year and a half before moving into data engineering, data science, and AI.

That path — economics, political strategy, teaching, and now AI architecture — shows up in how he writes: about incentives, governance, and systems that have to work for real people, not just in demonstrations. His writing explores agentic systems, AI governance, AI-native engineering, legal technology, interfaces for software agents, and knowledge systems.
